Happy Friday! Wow, what a week it has been. Crazy but fun-filled, smack in the middle of it Mother Nature decides to pay me a visit. I’ve been used to this, she always shows up when we need her the least but we learn to deal. We take Midol, we eat large amounts of chocolate (or nachos), we cry and wear sweat pants as much as we can. Hey, at least we aren’t pregnant, am I right?
This time was different. For two days I was having what can only be described as large amounts of sweat dripping from me. I’m not a sweater. I put my deodorant on like everyone else. But, I had fans going at work and I was still hot. It literally was a hot flash. Then, on day 2, I was also nauseous and really dizzy. After becoming sick like this at work, I went home and called my handy dandy gyno. I love my gyno. He has been with me since I was 16 and he is great. No nonsense and straight to the point. Blunt even. Especially in this case.
When I called him and explained my symptoms I expected him to tell me it was normal hormonal changes, blah. He said I sound Premenopausal. What? I’m only 34. I have a 2 year old. I don’t have time for this. I was a hot mess. Literally. He said if it happened again next month, or especially before, to come in and see him. He also told me not to worry, it was just a fluke. Yeah, he’s probably right. Any normal person would have moved on by now and forgot about it. Not me. I went to WebMD. Huge mistake. I have all the symptoms of premenopause and a few other tropical disease that there is no cure for. At this point, it’s just a waiting game.
So, I’m writing to you guys to help me? At what age were you Premenopausal if you were or are. Most of you are probably young and don’t even know what I’m talking about. Do yourself a favor. Don’t Google or WebMD it.
